Ingredients
- 3/4 c. croutons, crushed fine
- 1 c. chopped nuts
- 2 c. chopped cooked chicken
- 6 oz. cream cheese, soft (with chives, optional)
- 4 Tbsp. butter (soft)
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 2/3 c. sauteed mushrooms, chopped
- 2 pkg. Pillsbury crescent rolls
- 6 Tbsp. melted butter
Method
- Preheat oven to 350°.
- Mix crushed croutons and nuts; set aside.
- Mix chicken, cream cheese, butter, salt and mushrooms. Put one rounded teaspoon of chicken mixture on wide end of roll. Roll up.
- Dip in melted butter, roll in crouton nut mixture.
- Bake as directed on package at 350°.
- Serve cold or hot with gravy. May freeze for later use.
- Then thaw at room temperature to serve cold.
