Ingredients

  • 1 (2 1/2 to 3 lb.) fryer chicken
  • 1/2 c. salad oil
  • 2 Tbsp. minced parsley
  • 2 Tbsp. rosemary
  • 1/2 tsp. savory
  • 2 Tbsp. minced onion
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 3 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 1/2 c. milk

Method

  • Buy chicken cut up.
  • Arrange in shallow pan.
  • Brush with some of the salad oil.
  • Bake at 450° for 30 minutes, or until golden brown.
  • Reduce temperature to 325°.
  • Add remaining ingredients, except flour and milk, to the salad oil; pour over chicken.
  • Bake about 20 minutes longer, or until chicken is tender.
