Ingredients
- 6 chicken breasts or whole chicken
- 1 can mushrooms
- 1 pt. half and half
- salt to taste
- 1 large pkg. egg noodles
- 1 onion
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 24 slices American cheese
Method
- Cover chicken with water in large pot and cook until done. Remove and debone.
- Cook egg noodles in chicken broth.
- Saute onion and mushrooms in butter.
- Add this to noodles, then add half and half.
- Add slices of cheese and stir until melted.
- Add chicken, stir soup until hot.
- Add salt to taste.
- More water can be added to make soup thinner.
- Serves 12.
