Ingredients

  • 1 c. raw rice
  • 2 cans beef consomme or 1 beef consomme and 1 can water
  • 6 pieces chicken or more
  • paprika
  • 1 can mushrooms
  • 1 pkg. dry onion soup mix
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 can cream of celery soup

Method

  • Put the rice in bottom of a 9 x 13-inch pan.
  • Pour the consomme in with the rice.
  • Place the chicken on the rice, skin side up.
  • Sprinkle with paprika.
  • Pour the mushrooms over top of the chicken.
  • Sprinkle the dry onion soup mix over the chicken. Mix in a bowl the mushroom soup, chicken soup and celery soup. Pour over chicken. Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 1 hour.
  • Cover with foil or lid and bake 30 minutes more.
