Ingredients
- 3 lb. fryer chicken
- 3 to 4 c. plain all-purpose flour
- 3 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 to 3/4 c. Crisco (solid)
- 1 c. milk
Method
- Boil fryer until fork-tender.
- Remove to cool.
- Save chicken broth.
- Discard skin and bones and cut chicken into bite-size pieces.
- Put back into broth on low fire.
