Ingredients

  • 1 14 cups butter
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 34 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 12 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 3 cups quick-cooking oats
  • 1 12 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup raisins

Method

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  • Beat margarine and sugars until fluffy.
  • Beat in egg and vanilla.
  • Add combined flour, baking soda, salt and spices; mix well.
  • Stir in oats and raisins.
  • Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.
  • Bake 10 minutes and cool 2 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
  • Store in an airtight container.
