Ingredients
- 3/4 c. Crisco
- 1 1/4 c. brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/3 c. milk
- 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 3 c. uncooked oats
- 1 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt (optional)
- 1/4 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 c. raisins
- 1 c. coarsely chopped walnuts
Method
- Heat oven to 375°.
- Lightly grease a baking sheet with Crisco. In a large bowl, combine Crisco, brown sugar, egg, milk and vanilla.
- Beat at medium speed until well blended.
- Combine oats, flour, baking soda, salt and cinnamon.
- Mix into creamed mixture at low speed until blended.
- Stir in raisins and nuts.
- Drop dough by rounded tablespoons, 2 inches apart onto a greased baking sheet.
- Bake 10 to 12 minutes.
- Cool 2 minutes on a cooling rack. Makes 2 1/2 dozen cookies.
