Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. firmly packed dark brown sugar
  • 1/4 c. unsalted butter
  • 1 c. buttermilk baking mix
  • 2/3 c. chopped pecans
  • 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 2 1/2 tsp. milk
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 egg

Method

  • In mixing bowl with electric mix, beat brown sugar and butter until fluffy.
  • Stir in baking mix and pecans until mixture is crumbly.
  • Measure 1 cup brown sugar mixture and set aside for topping.
  • Press remaining brown sugar mixture into greased 8 x 8 x 2-inch baking pan, covering entire bottom.
  • Bake at 350° for 12 minutes.
