Ingredients
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/4 c. butter
- 4 egg yolks
- 3 level Tbsp. flour
- 2 c. scalded milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Method
- Reserve 1 tablespoon sugar; sprinkle 1/2 on bottom of unbaked 9-inch pie shell.
- Cream butter and remaining sugar; add egg yolks. Add flour, milk and vanilla gradually.
- Pour into shell and sprinkle top with remaining reserved sugar.
- Bake 10 minutes at 450°, then 1 hour at 250°.
