Ingredients
- 6 Tbsp. (3/4 stick) margarine or butter
- 1 1/4 c. granulated sugar
- 1/2 c. (about 6 large) egg yolks
- 1 c. evaporated milk
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 1/3 tsp. vanilla extract
Method
- Cream together the margarine and sugar.
- Add egg yolks gradually and beat well.
- Add flour and salt mixture alternately with evaporated milk.
- Mix on low speed while adding vanilla and mix.
- Pour filling into a 9-inch pie shell.
- Bake approximately one hour at 300° or until set in center.
- If not brown enough, turn up to 350° for a few minutes.
