Ingredients
- 1 (2 layer size) pkg. yellow cake mix
- 1 envelope dry yeast
- 1 c. flour
- 2/3 c. warm water
- 2 eggs
- 1 (1 lb. 5 oz.) can cherry pie filling
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/3 c. butter or margarine
Method
- Measure 2 1/2 cups dry cake mix for topping.
- Combine remaining dry mix, flour, yeast, water and eggs.
- Beat 100 strokes by hand. Spread evenly in a 9 x 13-inch greased pan.
- Top with cherry filling evenly.
- Mix reserved cake mix, 1/4 cup sugar, cinnamon and butter with fork until finely grained.
- Spread over filling.
- Bake at 350° for 30 to 35 minutes or until cake tests done.
