Ingredients

  • 6 oz milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 2tsp vanilla
  • 7tbs flour
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 1/4 lb 550g canned black cherries
  • 5 tbs icing sugar

Method

  • Heat oven to 350 f. Beat milk eggs and vanilla together. Gradually beat in 4 tbsp of icing sugar and flour, spoonful by spoonful. Add salt. Pour into greased baking dish 7 1/2" in diameter.
  • Dry cherries with absorbent towel and add to pan spreading them evenly through batter.
  • Bake 50-60 minutes until knife comes out clean. Sprinkle over the remaining sugar and serve warm.
  • Scoop fresh whipped cream over each piece and garnish with fresh fruit.
