Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground chuck
  • 1 large chopped onion
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 3 Tbsp. water
  • 1 can tomato soup
  • 1 can red (light) kidney beans
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. chili powder or less
  • 1 c. grated sharp Cheddar cheese

Method

  • In large skillet, cook ground chuck and onion until brown; add flour, salt, pepper and water, stirring to thicken.
  • Add soup, kidney beans and chili.
  • Serve with sprinkled-on grated Cheddar. May be served with corn bread or saltines.
  • Recipe doubles easily.
