Ingredients

  • 5 lb. potatoes
  • 1 stick oleo
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • milk
  • garlic powder
  • 1 (16 oz.) jar Cheez Whiz

Method

  • Scrub potatoes with brush.
  • Slice potatoes with skins on into about 1/2-inch slices.
  • Boil in water about 15 minutes.
  • Lay boiled slices into a greased 10 x 14-inch baking dish or pan.
  • Dot potatoes with remaining stick of oleo.
  • Liberally, sprinkle potatoes with garlic powder.
  • Add pepper to taste.
  • Mix 1 can of cream of mushroom soup with 1/2 can of milk (measured with same can).
  • Pour over potatoes.
  • Bake at 400° for 30 to 35 minutes. Remove potatoes from oven and spoon Cheez Whiz over top and return to oven for 5 to 10 minutes more.
