Ingredients
- 1 whole Onion
- 1 Tablespoon Butter
- 1 pinch Sea Salt
- 3 dashes Soy Sauce
- 3 ounces, fluid Chardonnay Or Other White Wine
Method
- Peel the onion, slice in half from root to stem and then slice into 1/2 rings.
- Melt the butter in a saute pan over medium heat and add the onions.
- Add the salt and continue cooking the onions, stirring often until they start to brown up and become very tender. How dark the onions cook is a matter of preference.
- When the onions are about done enough, add 2-3 dashes of soy sauce and stir it around to let the onions absorb the soy sauce.
- To finish it off, I splash some Chardonnay into the pan to de-glaze the pan and add some nice flavor to it.
- Serve immediately on burgers or with your favorite steak.
