Ingredients

  • 1 1/3 c. chopped onions
  • 1/4 c. margarine
  • 2 c. soft bread crumbs
  • 1/2 c. shredded sharp cheese
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 Tbsp. water
  • 2 1/2 c. cooked carrots

Method

  • Brown onions in butter; mix with bread crumbs, salt, cheese and water.
  • Place 1 cup carrots in greased 1-quart casserole. Cover with bread crumb mixture.
  • Arrange remaining carrots in overlapping circles around edge of casserole.
  • Dot with margarine. Bake, covered, at 350° for 30 minutes.
