Ingredients

  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1 cup vinegar
  • 1/2 cup molasses
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1 tsp liquid smoke
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp tabasco pepper sauce
  • 4 lb pork spare ribs

Method

  • Combine all ingredients for sauce in sauce pan over high heat.
  • Blend with wire wisk until smooth.
  • When mixture comes to a boil, reduce heat and simmer 30 - 45 minutes.
  • When mixture thickens, remove from heat.
  • Preheat oven to 300F.
  • Coat ribs with sauce and cover with foil.
  • Place ribs in oven and cook 2 to 2 1/2 hours.
  • Remove ribs from oven and grill 2 to 4 minutes per side, brushing each side with sauce.
