Ingredients

  • 6 c. Rice Chex
  • 6 c. Corn Chex
  • 6 c. Crispix
  • 1 c. butter
  • 1 c. packed brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1/2 c. corn syrup

Method

  • Grease 3 (15 x 10 x 1-inch) baking pans.
  • Set aside.
  • In large heatproof bowl, combine cereal and set aside.
  • In heavy saucepan over medium heat, bring butter, brown sugar and corn syrup to boil, stirring frequently.
  • Reduce heat, simmer uncovered for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Remove from heat and add vanilla.
  • Pour over cereal and stir until well coated.
  • Transfer to pans and spread out to thin layer.
  • Bake uncovered at 200° for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
  • Cool completely.
  • Break apart and store in airtight containers.
