Ingredients
- 6 qt. popped popcorn
- 2 c. firm packed sugar
- 1 c. margarine
- 1/2 c. light or dark Karo
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. soda
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Method
- Spread popcorn in large pan; may need to use two.
- In heavy saucepan, mix sugar, margarine, syrup and salt.
- Cook over medium heat, stir constantly until mix boils.
- Continue cooking without stirring for 5 minutes.
- Remove from heat; stir in vanilla and soda.
- Pour syrup mix over popcorn.
- Stir to coat well.
- Bake at 250°
- for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
- Break apart when cool.
