Ingredients

  • 8 qt. popped corn
  • 2 c. salted peanuts
  • 1 c. butter
  • 1/2 c. light corn syrup
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 tsp. maple flavoring

Method

  • Combine popped corn and peanuts in a
  • large mixing bowl. Combine butter, corn syrup, sugar and salt in a saucepan.
  • Bring to a boil.
  • Reduce heat and simmer 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Remove from heat.
  • Quickly stir in soda and flavorings.
  • Pour over popcorn and mix well.
  • Spoon mixture onto a jelly roll pan and bake at 250° for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes. Store in an airtight container.
  • Makes 8 servings.
