Ingredients

  • 32 whole Caramels, Unwrapped
  • 5 Tablespoons Milk
  • 1 cup Flour
  • 1 cup Quick Cooking Oatmeal
  • 3/4 cups Brown Sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoons Baking Soda
  • 1/4 teaspoons Salt
  • 3/4 cups Butter, Melted
  • 1-1/2 cup Chocolate Chips
  • 1/2 cups Broken Pecans

Method

  • Melt caramels in milk. Cool slightly, set aside.
  • Preheat oven to 350 Degrees F.
  • Blend flour, oatmeal, brown sugar, salt, soda and butter until crumbly; divide crumbs in half. Press 1/2 mixture in a 7x11 inch BUTTERED pan. Bake at 350 for 15 minutes.
  • Sprinkle baked crust with chocolate chips, nuts and drizzle melted caramels over. Sprinkle with remaining crumbles. Bake 12 minutes at 350 degrees F.
  • Serves 15.
