Ingredients

  • 6 apples large, peeled, cored, cut into 3/4 inch wedges
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 cups caramel sauce
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup self rising flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2/3 cup rolled oats
  • 6 1/2 tablespoons butter softened
  • whipped cream to serve

Method

  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Place six 8.5oz ramekins on a baking tray.
  • In a medium saucepan, combine apples and cinnamon. Cook over medium heat for 6-8 mins, covered, shaking occasionally, until just tender. Let cool for 15 mins. Add 1 cup caramel sauce, heavy cream and 1/2 tsp salt. Distribute between ramekins.
  • Meanwhile, in a large bowl, mix together flour, sugar and oats. Cut in butter until mixture resembles large breadcrumbs. Distribute over apples in ramekins.
  • Bake for 20-25 mins, until golden brown. Warm remaining caramel sauce. Serve crumble with warm caramel sauce and whipped cream.
