Ingredients

  • 5 sq. (5 oz.) unsweetened chocolate
  • 3/4 c. butter
  • 2 Tbsp. instant coffee
  • 2 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. vanilla
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 1/3 c. flour
  • 1 1/2 c. pecans

Method

  • Heat oven to 375°.
  • Grease 9 x 13-inch pan.
  • Melt the chocolate and butter over low heat.
  • Remove from heat.
  • Stir in coffee granules and vanilla; set aside.
  • Beat sugar, cinnamon and eggs until sugar dissolves, about 7 minutes.
  • Fold in chocolate mixture, flour and pecans until just blended.
  • Bake for 25 to 35 minutes; do not overbake.
  • Cool completely.
