Ingredients

  • 2 (3 1/2-ounce) links turkey Italian sausage
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 cups chopped, seeded plum tomato
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons chopped fresh sage
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon fennel seeds, crushed
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 (16-ounce) can cannellini beans, rinsed and drained
  • 1 (15.75-ounce) can fat-free, less-sodium chicken broth

Method

  • Remove casings from sausage. Cook sausage and garlic in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat until browned, stirring to crumble. Stir in the remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil; lower heat, cover, and simmer 5 minutes.
