Ingredients
- 3 c raw peanuts
- 1/2 c water
- 2 or 3 drops red food color (if desired)
- 1 c sugar
- Pinch of salt
Method
- Melt sugar and water, add nuts and salt and food color.
- At medium heat cook until liquid disappears while watching and stirring.
- Spread on baking sheet and put in oven at 3350 degrees until dry.
- Check after 10 minutes.
- Stir and carefully life from foil and return to oven if not dry.
- When dry, allow to cool and store in a tight jar.
