Ingredients
- 1/4 c. butter
- 1/2 c. diced onion
- 1/2 c. diced celery
- 1/2 c. diced carrot
- 1/4 c. flour
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1 pt. chicken broth or bouillon cubes, mixed as directed
- 1 qt. milk
- 1/8 tsp. soda
- 1/2 lb. Velveeta cheese
- 1 tsp. parsley
- salt and pepper
Method
- Melt butter; add vegetables and saute.
- Add flour and cornstarch.
- Add stock and milk.
- Add soda, cheese and seasonings. Heat thoroughly but do not boil.
