Ingredients
- 1 lb. dry pinto beans
- 3 1/2 c. water
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 green sweet pepper, chopped
- 1 jalapeno pepper, chopped (optional)
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 can tomatoes, cut up
- 2 Tbsp. chili powder
- salt to taste
Method
- Sort and rinse beans.
- Cook until tender.
- Cook ground beef in skillet.
- Drain off fat.
- Add cooked beef and remaining ingredients to beans; stir.
- Cook until flavors are mixed.
- Can be frozen.
- Very good.
