Ingredients

  • 1 head cabbage
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 lb. hamburger
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 c. regular rice or 1 c. cooked
  • 1 green pepper, chopped
  • 1/8 tsp. garlic salt
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 large jar Ragu sauce
  • 1/4 c. brown sugar

Method

  • Heat cabbage until tender.
  • Combine next seven ingredients; make into balls.
  • Peel off cabbage leaves and wrap around balls. Place in loaf pan.
  • Cover with Ragu sauce, sprinkle with brown sugar.
  • Cover with foil, bake at 350° for 1 1/2 hours.
  • Uncover, bake 30 minutes longer.
  • Can add cheese to top.
