Ingredients
- 1 lb. ground meat
- 1/4 c. chopped onion
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 small head cabbage
- 6 potatoes, pared
- 2 c. tomato juice
Method
- In skillet, lightly brown meat with onion and seasonings; drain off fat.
- Set aside.
- In buttered casserole (2 to 2 1/2-quart), cut cabbage in medium size shreds to cover bottom of dish. Add about 4 layers of sliced potatoes (about 6 medium size). Arrange the browned meat over the potatoes.
- Pour tomato juice over the meat.
- Cover and bake 1 to 1 1/2 hours in a 350° oven. Serves 6.
