Ingredients
- 3 c. sugar
- 1 1/2 c. butter, softened
- 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
- 2 tsp. vanilla, butter and nut flavoring
- 6 eggs, separated
- 3 c. cake flour
- powdered sugar
Method
- Cream sugar, butter and cream cheese until light and fluffy. Beat in flavorings.
- Add egg yolks, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Add cake flour, mixing well.
- Beat egg whites until stiff peaks form; fold into batter.
- Spoon batter into a greased 10-inch tube or Bundt pan.
- Bake at 325° for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until done.
- Cool thoroughly and sprinkle with sifted powdered sugar.
- Yields 1 (10-inch) cake.
