Ingredients
- 2 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/3 c. butter
- 4 2/3 Tbsp. baking powder
- 4 2/3 Tbsp. sugar
- 3/4 c. buttermilk
Method
- Sift together into mixing bowl flour, baking powder, salt and sugar.
- Cut butter in hand until fine crumbs are formed.
- Stir in buttermilk gently until all ingredients are moist and dough is formed.
- Chill 45 minutes.
- Roll 3/4-inch thick.
- Cut with 2-inch biscuit cutter.
- Bake at 425°, until golden brown.
