Ingredients
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 2 c. sifted flour
- 3 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/3 tsp. baking soda
- 1/4 c. salad oil
- 1 c. buttermilk
Method
- Sift flour, baking powder, sugar, salt and soda together. Pour oil into the buttermilk and add the liquids to the dry ingredients.
- Mix to make a soft dough.
- Turn out on a floured board.
- Gently roll out to 3/4 inch thick; cut with small biscuit cutter.
- Place on a slightly greased pan close together.
- Bake at 425° for about 12 minutes.
- Makes 12 to 16 biscuits.
