Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp. margarine
  • 1/2 c. tomato puree
  • 1/4 tsp. oregano
  • 2 tsp. minced onion
  • 1 tsp. parsley
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic salt
  • 1 Tbsp. salad oil
  • 1 can (10 count) refrigerated buttermilk or country style biscuits
  • 1/3 c. shredded Mozzarella cheese

Method

  • Melt margarine in 8-inch round baking pan and rotate to cover bottom.
  • Combine tomato puree, onion, parsley, garlic salt, oregano and oil.
  • Separate biscuit dough and cut each biscuit into 4 pieces.
  • Drop into tomato mixture, tossing lightly with fork. Place pieces in buttered pan and distribute evenly.
  • Sprinkle with cheese.
  • Bake in preheated 400° oven for 18 to 20 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Makes 40 canapes.
