Ingredients

  • 3 Tablespoons Unsalted Butter
  • 3 strips Bacon, Chopped
  • 3 cups Brussels Sprouts, Sliced
  • Salt And Pepper, to taste
  • 1- 1/2 Tablespoon All-purpose Flour
  • 3/4 cups Whipping Cream
  • 1/2 cups Half-and-half
  • 1/2 cups Mozzarella, Shredded
  • 1/2 cups Gorgonzola Crumbles

Method

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Spray a 3-quart baking dish (or smaller) with nonstick cooking spray.
  • In a large skillet, melt butter and add bacon.
  • Crisp bacon for about 5 minutes.
  • Then add Brussels sprouts with a little salt and pepper and continue to cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  • Add flour, stir, and cook for another minute.
  • Gradually add cream and half-and-half.
  • Reduce heat to medium-low and cook another 5 minutes.
  • Remove skillet from heat and stir in mozzarella.
  • Pour Brussels sprout mixture into baking dish and sprinkle top with Gorgonzola.
  • Bake for about 25 minutes and, with a few minutes left, turn broiler on to get a nice golden cheesy crust on top.
  • Serve immediately.
