Ingredients

  • 4 c. seasoned croutons
  • 8 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 4 c. milk
  • 1 tsp. prepared mustard
  • dash of pepper
  • 2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. onion salt

Method

  • Use a greased 9 x 13-inch Pyrex dish.
  • Combine croutons and cheese and spread on bottom of greased dish.
  • Beat the eggs slightly and add milk, salt, mustard, onion salt and dash of pepper.
  • Mix and pour over the croutons and cheese.
  • Prepare and refrigerate overnight.
  • May be topped with cooked crumbled bacon (8 slices) or bacon bits.
  • Bake at 350° for 45 minutes.
