Ingredients
- 1 1/2 c. brown beans
- 1 1/2 qt. water
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. molasses
- 2 Tbsp. white vinegar
- 1/2 c. brown sugar
Method
- Wash beans and soak overnight.
- Cook slowly in same water until tender (about 2 hours).
- Add salt, molasses, vinegar and sugar.
- If they seem too juicy, thicken with a little cornstarch paste.
