Ingredients

  • 2 chickens, cleaned, or parts
  • 2 1/2 c. raw rice
  • 2 pkg. Lipton onion soup mix
  • 2 cans cream of mushroom soup
  • 5 c. water
  • butter or oil

Method

  • Chicken can be seasoned according to taste after washing. Sprinkle rice in pan.
  • Add dry onion soup mix over rice.
  • Place chicken parts on rice and onion mix.
  • Spoon or spread mushroom soup over chicken.
  • Pour 2 1/2 cups water around edges of pan. Bake at 350° for 1 hour.
  • After one hour, pour remaining 2 1/2 cups of water around edge of pan.
  • Bake 1 hour more.
