Ingredients
- 1 1/2 c. water
- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 3 c. chopped broccoli
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 c. shredded American cheese
- 2 c. milk
- 2 Tbsp. butter
Method
- Boil broccoli and onion in water until tender.
- Add cheese and salt.
- After cheese melts, add milk and stir.
- Place in blender and process on medium until blended.
- Heat to boiling.
- If thicker soup is desired, mix 1/3 cup flour and 1/2 cup water.
- Stir into soup.
- Cook and stir until soup is the consistency of heavy cream.
