Ingredients
- 4 c. chopped raw broccoli
- 1 c. chopped celery
- 1/4 c. chopped green onion
- 1 c. seedless green grapes
- 1 c. seedless red grapes
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 1 c. mayonnaise
- 1 Tbsp. red wine vinegar
- 1/2 lb. bacon, fried crisp and crumbled
- 2/3 c. slivered or sliced almonds, toasted
Method
- Toss together the vegetables and grapes in a large salad bowl. Mix the sugar, mayonnaise and vinegar in a separate small bowl to make dressing.
- Pour dressing over vegetables and grapes and stir gently to allow dressing to coat evenly.
- Refrigerate overnight before serving, if time allows, for flavors to mix.
- Just before serving, add crumbled bacon and toasted almonds.
- Serves 10 to 12.
