Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. chopped celery
  • 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • 1/2 c. butter or regular margarine
  • 1 (10 3/4 oz.) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1 (8 oz.) jar pasteurized process cheese spread
  • 1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen chopped broccoli, thawed
  • 1 (7 oz.) pkg. precooked rice

Method

  • Saute celery and onion in melted butter in saucepan until tender (do not brown).
  • Combine soup, water and cheese spread. Add to saucepan.
  • Heat until cheese melts.
  • Add broccoli.
  • Cook rice according to package directions.
  • Combine hot cheese mixture with cooked rice.
  • Turn into greased 2-quart casserole.
  • Bake in a 350° oven for 45 minutes or until hot.
  • Makes 6 servings.
