Ingredients
- 1/2 c. chopped celery
- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 1/2 c. butter or regular margarine
- 1 (10 3/4 oz.) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 c. water
- 1 (8 oz.) jar pasteurized process cheese spread
- 1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen chopped broccoli, thawed
- 1 (7 oz.) pkg. precooked rice
Method
- Saute celery and onion in melted butter in saucepan until tender (do not brown).
- Combine soup, water and cheese spread. Add to saucepan.
- Heat until cheese melts.
- Add broccoli.
- Cook rice according to package directions.
- Combine hot cheese mixture with cooked rice.
- Turn into greased 2-quart casserole.
- Bake in a 350° oven for 45 minutes or until hot.
- Makes 6 servings.
