Ingredients

  • 4 cups frozen broccoli, chopped small
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 4 slices American cheese
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 12 teaspoon dried onion
  • 14 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded

Method

  • Cook broccoli according to package directions.
  • Drain any liquid and chop until its very fine.
  • Or chop in food processor.
  • Warm 1/2 cup of chicken broth in bottom of a dutch oven, when broth is simmering, stir in flour, mix well.
  • Then add remaining ingredients and heat till all cheese is melted.
  • Simmer for about 5 minutes or until soup thickens up.
  • Serve.
