Ingredients
- 2 large bags (4 boxes) frozen broccoli
- 6 to 8 bacon strips
- 1 can cream of onion soup (can substitute cream of mushroom)
- 1 small (1 lb.) box Velveeta cheese
- onion rings (approximately 16 to 20)
Method
- Fry bacon strips until crispy.
- Remove from grease and crush bacon into small pieces.
- In a pan on the stove, cook the cream of onion soup.
- Add crushed bacon pieces; gradually add Velveeta cheese.
- Continuously stir on medium-low heat until Velveeta cheese has melted.
- Cook broccoli as directed on package.
- Drain water.
- Place broccoli into a large casserole dish.
- Pour mixture onto broccoli.
- Cover with onion rings.
- Preheat oven to 325°. Bake casserole for 30 minutes.
- Serves approximately 8 to 10.
