Ingredients

  • 1 box frozen broccoli, preferably in pieces
  • 1/2 can cream of mushroom soup or celery soup
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 1/2 c. mayonnaise
  • 1/2 c. grated sharp cheese
  • 1/2 c. cornflakes
  • 1/4 c. melted butter
  • salt and pepper to taste

Method

  • Boil broccoli for 5 minutes; drain.
  • Mix with soup, egg, cheese and mayonnaise.
  • Season to taste.
  • Put in an 8-inch square Pyrex dish.
  • Combine melted butter and cornflakes; sprinkle over broccoli mixture.
  • Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.
  • Serves 6.
  • Can be multiplied successfully.
