Ingredients

  • 10 ounces frozen chopped broccoli
  • 1 can (10 1/2 ounce) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 egg, slightly beaten
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 cup croutons or bread crumbs
  • 1/2 cup (6 slices) American cheese, cubed or cut in to smaller pieces

Method

  • Preheat oven to 350°. Cook broccoli as directed and drain well. Add soup, egg, mayonnaise, cheese, salt and pepper to broccoli and pour into a 2-quart casserole which has been buttered. Toss butter and croutons together and sprinkle over broccoli. Bake for 45 minutes.
