Ingredients

  • 6 eggs or egg substitute
  • 1 1/2 tsp. dried mustard
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 2 c. whole milk
  • butter or margarine
  • 1 lb. pork sausage
  • sliced bread cubes
  • chopped onions
  • chopped peppers

Method

  • Brown sausage until done, drain and set aside.
  • Lightly butter bottom and sides of dish.
  • Arrange bread cubes in dish to cover bottom; set aside.
  • Pour drained sausage over bread cubes; spread evenly.
  • Mix first 5 ingredients well.
  • Pour this mixture over sausage and bread cubs.
  • Cover to let settle overnight (meat and cheese will float to top).
