Ingredients
- 4 to 8 slices bread
- 1 lb. sausage
- 1/2 green pepper, chopped
- 1/2 onion, chopped
- 6 oz. grated cheese (for 4 slices bread)
- 1 egg (for each slice bread used)
- 1 c. milk (for 4 slices bread)
- 1/2 tsp. dry mustard
- salt and pepper
Method
- Spray casserole dish with Pam.
- Trim crust from as many slices of bread as will fit in bottom of dish.
- Saute the sausage; crumble and drain well.
- Put sausage on top of bread.
- Saute green pepper and onion; drain well and spoon over sausage.
- Layer cheese over vegetables.
- Mix eggs, milk, mustard, salt and pepper; pour over cheese.
- Cover tightly with aluminum foil.
- May leave in refrigerator overnight before baking or may freeze now.
- Bake at 350° for 1 hour.
