Ingredients

  • 1 lb. sausage
  • 6 slices buttered bread
  • 1 1/2 c. shredded cheese
  • 6 eggs, beaten
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 c. cream

Method

  • Put buttered bread in a buttered baking dish.
  • Cook sausage until brown, stirring until crumbled.
  • Drain and spoon over bread slices.
  • Sprinkle cheese over meat.
  • Combine eggs, salt and cream in a bowl.
  • Mix well and pour over cheese. Refrigerate overnight.
  • Remove from refrigerator 15 minutes before baking.
  • Heat oven to 350° and bake, uncovered, for 45 minutes or until set.
