Ingredients

  • 2 pkg. dry yeast
  • 1 c. lukewarm water
  • 1 c. boiling water
  • 1 c. Crisco
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 6 c. plain flour

Method

  • Dissolve yeast in lukewarm water.
  • In large bowl, pour boiling warm water over Crisco and dissolve.
  • Add sugar, salt, eggs, yeast and flour; mix well and let double in size.
  • Knead. Divide dough into 2 parts.
  • Roll out 1/4-inch thick and cut with biscuit cutter.
  • Dip each biscuit in melted butter.
  • Stick on end in Bundt pan.
  • Let rise 2 to 3 hours.
  • Bake at 350° until golden brown, about 30 minutes.
  • This makes 2 pans.
  • Do not cut, just pull apart.
