Ingredients
- 2 pkg. dry yeast
- 1 c. lukewarm water
- 1 c. boiling water
- 1 c. Crisco
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 6 c. plain flour
Method
- Dissolve yeast in lukewarm water.
- In large bowl, pour boiling warm water over Crisco and dissolve.
- Add sugar, salt, eggs, yeast and flour; mix well and let double in size.
- Knead. Divide dough into 2 parts.
- Roll out 1/4-inch thick and cut with biscuit cutter.
- Dip each biscuit in melted butter.
- Stick on end in Bundt pan.
- Let rise 2 to 3 hours.
- Bake at 350° until golden brown, about 30 minutes.
- This makes 2 pans.
- Do not cut, just pull apart.
