- 2 1/8 cups milk
- 8 5/8 cups bread
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 1/4 cups flour
- 1 1/8 cups cocoa powder
- 1/4 cup pine nuts
- 1/4 cup golden raisins soaked in rum
- 10 amaretti biscuits crushed
- ground cinnamon
- powdered sugar
Method
- Preheat the oven to 150 degrees Celsius.
- Soak the bread in the milk for 2 to 3 hours and mash into a pulp.
- Add the eggs, sugar, flour, cocoa powder, pine nuts, raisins, biscuits, and a pinch of cinnamon. Mix well until smooth. If mixture appears too dry, add a little milk.
- Pour into a greased springform pan.
- Bake for 1 hour.
- Allow to cool and serve sprinkled with powdered sugar.
