Ingredients

  • 2 heaping Tbsp. yeast
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. salt
  • 5 c. warm water
  • 1 c. powdered milk
  • 1 c. warm water
  • 4 eggs, beaten
  • 2/3 c. oil
  • 15 c. flour
  • 1 c. sugar

Method

  • Combine yeast, 1 cup of warm water and sugar; let stand 10 minutes.
  • Add to beaten eggs, salt, oil, 1 cup sugar and 5 cups of warm water.
  • Add yeast mixture, then gradually add 15 cups of flour to which you have added 1 cup of powdered milk. Mix until smooth.
  • Let rise.
  • Knead down.
  • Put into loaf pans; let rise until doubled in bulk.
  • Bake at 350° for about 45 minutes.
  • Makes 6 loaves.
