Ingredients
- 2 heaping Tbsp. yeast
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. salt
- 5 c. warm water
- 1 c. powdered milk
- 1 c. warm water
- 4 eggs, beaten
- 2/3 c. oil
- 15 c. flour
- 1 c. sugar
Method
- Combine yeast, 1 cup of warm water and sugar; let stand 10 minutes.
- Add to beaten eggs, salt, oil, 1 cup sugar and 5 cups of warm water.
- Add yeast mixture, then gradually add 15 cups of flour to which you have added 1 cup of powdered milk. Mix until smooth.
- Let rise.
- Knead down.
- Put into loaf pans; let rise until doubled in bulk.
- Bake at 350° for about 45 minutes.
- Makes 6 loaves.
